Day 2 Visiting The Spokane Tribal Hatchery

Last night I didn't really get that much sleep because of a large rainstorm happening honestly I thought It was going to overflow my tent. For some reason because the water was dropping into the tent but it was just condensation going through the tent it wasn't the water. But later in the morning I woke up to take a shower and proceeded to try to get ready for the day. Packed up everything and cleaned up my tent as everyone started waking up, I tried to offer to help out set up for breakfast and we had that we talked to her on how what we're going to do today. We were going to go to a fish hatchery focusing on trying to bring back the salmon to Spokane, it's nice to see people trying to bring back animals that used to flourish in Spokane we went to the egg Hatchery and we met three people.

Tom Peone - fish Hatchery manager Casey Fannigan- water fish project manager

Calvin Fisher- a water resource specialist fish biologist

The main goal of the fish hatchery was to help bring salmon to Spokane rivers and take care of the Spokane species.

Throughout the whole tour, I saw multiple depictions of Native Americans fishing by spearing the fish. While they were climbing up the river and also how the chief used to call for the salmon to come back home to the Spokane rivers. I did do sketches but I couldn't really make some detailed ones because it was a tour. I don't want to help up the whole group but there were tanks full of salmon and different species of fish, it was quite weird seeing a new species of salmon that's just pure white more albino and we went to the machine where they tag the fish even the baby fish later.

On we were helping out in the fish survey catching fish trying to see if some of the species of fish came back to the waters. They used to have it by using electricity in water and catch them while they are stunned don't worry we use very low voltage so they won't die not going to lie almost fall down into the water most of the time. How's everything was done we said goodbye Tim Calvin and cosey. head off to camp and to wrap up with some studies we needed to do here is the end of the blog because I need to get ready for the next day.
